World Team Tennis is a professional tennis league played by the world’s top men and women players in a team format competition held in the United States. Mylan World Team Tennis will celebrate its 39th season of play this year. Billie Jean King and Larry King created the unique gender-equity team concept in the early 1970s. WTT first hit the courts in 1974 for a five-year run. After a short hiatus, the League returned in 1981 and has been a highlight of the annual U.S. tennis calendar for the past 32 consecutive years. Deutscher Bundesliga
Hamburg, Germany - This coming Sunday, July 13, 2014, the 2nd Bundesliga Tennis-Point of the Lords North and South will start the new season. Sixteen teams will compete in a total of nine match days for the promotion to the top division. In the south part of last season's relegated TC Bruckmuhl-Feldkirchen features top player Fabio Fognini from Italy are favorites in the division. North among others, the TC Blau-Weiss Aachen has a good chance to the top flight with three players from the top 250 in the world rankings. Official Website
Swiss Tennis Interclub
Bern, Switzerland - The two spots in the National League A have been taken by TC Froburg Trimbach and TC Stade-Lausanne. The slots were vacated by the reigning National League B champions, Lake ZH, who waived their rights to the top division of the Swiss Tennis Leagu, and TC Solothurn had to withdraw their team. The men’s teams will play a maximum of two foreigners in the NLA. Official Website
