March 5, 2013, ITS Staff, Austin, Texas - The Edgar and Melanie Weller Tennis Center was officially opened last week. The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the completion of the $8.8 million center that includes six indoor and four outdoor tennis courts located on the property of the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas. University of Virginia Becomes a Dominant Force in College Tennis

February 20, 2013 ITS Staff - The nation's top-ranked Universtiy of Virginia Cavaliers men's tennis team won its fifth ITA National Team Indoor Championship in six years with a 4-2 victory over second-ranked USC in Monday's final at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. The Cavaliers (6-0) won the doubles point and used straight set victories at the top three singles positions to deny the Trojans their second straight title. Read more

NOVEMBER 20, 2012, ITS Staff - Jarmere Jenkins of the University of Virginia won the 2012 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships with a hard-earned three-set victory over Pepperdine’s Sebastian Fanselow 6-4 3-6 7-5 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows in New York. Jenkins is ranked second in the Campbell/ITA Preseason Rankings. Read full article

USC Delivers Again, Singles  Back-to-Back Title for Johnson

June 3, 2012 ITS Staff - University Southern California won the NCAA team title for the fourth consecutive time last month beating University of Virginia Cavaliers in the finals 4 matches to 1 held at Dan Magill Tennis Center at the University of Georgia campus. USC’s Steve Johnson also captured his second back-to-back singles title defeating Wildcat Eric Quigley of University of Kentucky 6-4 6-4 in the finals to remain undefeated for the season. Johnson has a 72-match win streak dating back to January 2011. Read full article
